Mack and LEU Trucks Recalled for Electrical Overage

According to an announcement from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, Mack trucks produced for the years 2008-2012 and LEU trucks manufactured from January 2, 2007 to February 3, 2011 are being recalled because of a manufacturing defect.
The manufacturers and dealers of the 2008-2012 Mack trucks and 2007-2011 LEU trucks are concerned about insufficient protection from electrical currents reaching the mirror switch. In the event of an electrical current reaching the mirror switch, the circuit can overload, which could cause a vehicle fire. As a result, the dealers of 2008-2012 Mack trucks and 2007-2011 LEU trucks will give free inspections and repairs starting around May 30, 2011.
