Drunk Driver Pleads Not Guilty to Fatal Hit-and-Run on MLK Jr. St.

October 14, 2010 - Indianapolis, IN - The man responsible for the hit-and-run accident that killed a Riley Hospital volunteer has plead not guilty to his charges.
WTHR13 reports that Roger Ordonez has been charged in the October 10 accident that killed Lola Herman, 81, at the intersection of 16th and Martin Luther King Jr. Street. Ordonez claims he was drinking beer but couldn't remember how much and blood alcohol tests confirmed a BAC of .24 which is 3 times the legal limit.
Ordonez is facing charges of reckless homicide and drunk driving. He also did not have a drivers' license according to police, and fled the scene in a friends' car.
