Blue Bird Vision School Buses Recalled Due to Possible Electrical Short

The 2004-2006 Blue Bird Vision school buses manufactured from June 26, 2003, through December 9, 2004, are being recalled. This specific set of Blue Bird school buses has a defect with the connection of the starter cable and steel power steering hose.
In the event of the starter cable rubbing against the steel power steering hose, a short can occur that could create an electrical fire. Imagine the serious injuries this could cause when the Vision Blue Bird buses are transporting children to and from school. If a fire were to occur, many children could sustain serious burn injuries that could lead to painful treatments and long-term recovery, or even death.
Blue Bird Company sent notices, starting May 10, 2011, to owners and dealers of the 2004-2006 Vision Blue Bird school buses for free repairs on the improper assembly between the starter cable and power steering hose.
