Considering this, when you are taking to the roads in Indianapolis at the end of this summer, you should use extra precautions since more people die in car crashes in the month of August than any other month of the year.

NHTSA reports that in 2009 an average of 93 people a day died as a result of a car crash. They say that the risk of a fatal crash is increased in the month of August due to the high number of people that take to the roads.

There are more teenagers and inexperienced drivers on the road.  Also, with the omnipresence of digital technology, it is likely there will be more distracted drivers all around you.
